Your Imagination Station With Miss Connie WE HAVE BEEN GRINCHED !!! Not ONCE, not TWICE, but THREE TIMES !!! Y’all know the Grinch was here for our Hometown Christmas party, right? Well, he came back on the last day of Storytime AND again on the last day ATA’s third grade classes were here. Wanna talk about disruptive ?! I was trying to read a story, and I get his furry finger tickling my ear. Then I see his furry hand cover my eyes so I can’t see the book I’m reading to the kiddos. Next, he takes one of our little trees and rubs it under his arm, he knocks the books that the students had chosen, right outta their hands. Rotten, I tell ya, just rotten. Then he went on over to the school and tormented the kiddos as they were leaving for the day. Seriously though, what a great time with the Grinch. We’re so glad he decided to join us for some fun….THREE TIMES. If you haven’t been in yet to get your ornament from the Ornament Walk, we still have them on the tree. Be sure to stop in and get them. What a great response we’ve had to all the DRIVEs we’ve had going on. We’ve received many toys, lots of nonperishable food items, and many hats, scarves and gloves for our giving tree. We can’t even begin to tell you how many people have already been helped by your generosity. Thank you ! We will continue the FOOD DRIVE and the GIVING TREE throughout the winter months. Then, come Spring, we’ll begin a new Community Service Project. The Rock Springs Puzzles completely sold out, and the Chester Garden Club will begin working on their second puzzle in the series, after the first of the year. The new calendars from the Tri State Master Gardeners are still available for $1.00 each. They are filled with lots of information on prepping for your garden in the spring. Drop in and get yours. STORYTIME is in the process of being planned for our Winter/Spring Session. It will begin Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 11:00. Registration is now open. We have MANY NEW PROGRAMS coming your way after the first of the year. We’re sooooo excited to share them with all of you. Beginning Monday, January 3, 2022, we will have a TAKE & MAKE project for the kiddos to stop in and get. Then, every Monday following, we will have a NEW Take & Make. Wait til you see how fun these are going to be. Now, for the rest of the programs, we’re gonna make ya wait just a little longer to find out what they are. We’ll let everyone enjoy their holidays and then give you all the updates real soon. If you haven’t joined us yet for a seminar with Jami, on Dementia, please make plans to attend our next one on Tuesday, January 4 at 5:00. Jami has also provided us with a video to help us get through the holidays a little easier. Be sure to watch it. It’s on our Facebook Page. Remember to keep an eye on our Facebook Page, Lynn Murray Memorial Library, to see all the upcoming events we have in store for you. You’ll also find our 3:00 Story, NEW RELEASE books, New To Us books, pictures from our events, and so much more. Until next time…..grab a book and let your imagination take you places you’ve never been. Connie ** We will be closing for the HOLIDAYS, on Thursday, December 23 at 2:00 and will remain closed until Monday, January 3, 2022 at 10am. From all of us here at the library, we want to wish all of YOU a very happy, healthy, and safe holiday season. See y’all in the New Year.
